If you are visiting Belgium and looking for a convenient hotel in Brussels, then hotel Pullman Brussels Centre Midi might be a great place to book for your accommodation regardless if you are travelling for business or leisure to Brussels.
The Pullman Brussels Centre Midi is a 4-star hotel located right next to Brussels-Midi/Zuid station, Europe’s main hub for high speed trains.
The hotel is conveniently located near public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. The Wi-Fi was excellent with great coverage in the room, lobby and restaurant. We enjoyed the 24/7 access to the sauna but wish breakfast was better.
Why We Chose Pullman Brussels Centre Midi
In terms of accommodation, we would recommend booking your accommodation through an aggregator such as Booking.com or Trip.com to get the best rates. We booked this hotel via Booking.com so we can reach the next Genius level.
We chose Pullman Brussels Centre Midi, due to the following reasons:
- Excellent location – we were looking for best hotels near Brussels Midi
- Good reviews on TripAdvisor about Brussels train station hotel
- Although over our budget, it came across as a good value for money hotel
Overall, we had a great experience and trully loved the proximity to the train station as we travelled from London, then to Ghent and then left to Cologne from the same train station.
The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious (especially in comparison to our hotel rooms in Japan), breakfast was good but could be better. We also took advantage of the sauna facilities.
We share more about our experience below.
How to Get To Pullman Brussels Centre Midi
If you are wondering “Is Pullman Brussels Midi good for train travelers?” or “How close is Pullman Hotel to Brussels-Midi station?”, the hotel is right next to Brussels Midi train station. It even has a direct entrance to the Gare du Midi/ metrostation which we only realised after our stay.

Check-in Experience
We had a smooth check in experience and felt the customer service was to a high standard, as expected. The receptionist welcomed us to the hotel and quickly processed our information.
He explained everything we needed to know about the hotel and provided more information about the breakfast service and the facilities that the hotel offers.
As we arrived earlier in the day, our room wasn’t ready so we left our luggage at reception and went on to explore.
Lobby
The lobby of the hotel is actually quite nice, bright and spacious. You have plenty of seating areas to choose from. The furniture is soft and comfortable and feels nice to the touch.
From the lobby you can access the train station directly, without even going out of the hotel. This is a great feature of the hotel but sadly we only realised this after check out.
Hotel Room
We booked a Classic King Room for one night as part of our Interrail trip.
Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable and offered a good night sleep. We also had a comfortable sofa and a chair offering additional seating. The room was stylish and tastefully furnished.
On each side of the bed there were bedside tables. A table and a chair and a flat screen TV were also available.
As you enter the room, you have wardrobe space. The wardrobe area wasn’t too spacious but offered enough shelf space and hangers. There was also a large mirror which was nice.
Tea and coffee making facilities were also available, although we didn’t take advantage of these.
It was my birthday and at the time of booking the hotel, I did leave a note about the special occasion. I was pleasantly surprised to find a birthday card and chocolates in the room with a handwritten message. This was a nice touch!
The modern rooms are perfect for a city break or a business trip to Brussels and we were happy with our choice.
Bathroom
The bathroom was a decent size, not small but not large either. It was clean and with a walk in shower, large mirror, vanity mirror and towels.
Shampoo, body wash and soap were available from a dispenser. No other toiletries were provided. I personally liked the rainfall shower and the additional flexible hand-held shower head. As expected, a hair dryer was also available.
The bathroom was separated from the room by a sliding door.
The toilet was separate from the bathroom and was really small. Good we didn’t spend much time there 🙂
Spa and Fitness Centre
Within the hotel, you will find the fitness centre and a spa with a sauna. We were pleasantly surprised that this place was opened 24/7 but if you want to use the sauna, you need to notify reception at least 30 minutes before.
For some reason my card didn’t work for the spa, I had to walk around the hotel and go to reception in my towel to get this sorted. Minor hiccup but at 11pm this wasn’t what I wanted.
We enjoyed some relaxing and quiet time in the spa area. We were there around midnight and there was no one in there, so we had the facilities to ourselves.
Whilst we didn’t go to the gym, the facilities looked good with a nice view.
It was great to see a water dispenser as we needed lots of water to keep hydrated during our sauna sessions.

Breakfast at Pullman Brussels Centre Midi
The breakfast at the hotel was good but we expected more from a 4 start hotel at the price we paid.
It also felt that the place was understaffed as it took time for tables to be cleared. When we went for breakfast, it was busy and we had no choice but to pick a dirty table and wait for the staf members to clear it.
We had a good breakfast but felt there wasn’t a good variety of hot and cold foods. Scrambled eggs, bacon and other hot foods were available but nothing special. Paul was surprised that only one choice of eggs were on offer.
Waffles, crepes and other sweet treats were available but we thought the selection was limited. We have had better variety at a 3-star hotel.
Muesli, cereals were offered as standard and in my opinion this was the best section in terms of choice.
There was a very limited selection of salads and fruits too but enough to kickstart your day.
In terms of drinks, a few coffee machines were available with freshly ground coffee and a selection of espresso, americano, cappuccino, latte etc. There were also coffee machines with coffee pods, so you could really choose what you fancy.
The coffee was actually very good and we liked the option to take away coffee as we were going to board our train to Cologne.
Still and sparkling water and a variety of fresh juices to choose from were also available. Perhaps the drinks were better than the food.
The restaurant was spacious and modern-looking with plenty of space to choose from but at the time we went, it was rather busy.
Final Thoughts
If you are wondering which hotel to stay in, Pullman Brussels Centre Midi might be a good place to book for your business or leisure accommodation in Brussels. This is a great hotel near Brussels-Midi/Zuid station!
All in all, we enjoyed the hotel, amenities and the facilities and we would stay here again. The location is perfect but the breakfast offer can be improved.
For travellers like us, the room was a good size, modern and contemporary. The easy access to Brussels Midi train station and the spa area were a real highlight!
